Jan 2024 - Present
Schiphol Group
Product Owner
As Product Owner of the Security Insights Non-PAX team at Schiphol, I lead a multidisciplinary data product team within the Security & Safety business platform.
We create value by building data products that help Schiphol improve how it plans, monitors, and steers aviation security operations. This includes a forecasting solution for capacity planning and dashboards that support performance monitoring and data-driven decision-making.
I was responsible for setting up and shaping a multidisciplinary team (8 FTE), and for managing the full product lifecycle: from product vision, budgeting and backlog management to stakeholder alignment and delivery.
One of the main challenges was driving adoption in a traditionally project-driven environment. I worked closely with stakeholders to shift expectations, promote co-creation, and embed agile principles into the way we build and deliver digital products.

Schiphol Group
IT Business Advisor
As IT Business Advisor within the Security and Safety business platform team, I supported the senior manager on organisational design, innovation capability and digital strategy.
The role combined strategic advising with delegated ownership of key initiatives. Assignments included an internal feasibility study for setting up a low-code capability, acting as subject-matter lead on an innovation dossier, and serving in a delegated project ownership role on two projects.
One of these involved a large-scale rollout of a new security system, requiring coordination with contractors and technology vendors. I stepped in during a disorganised phase and was responsible for restoring project governance, stakeholder alignment, delivery urgency and resource availability.
This role required strategic sensitivity, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to bring structure and clarity in a politically complex environment.

DAS
Business Information Analyst
At DAS, I worked as a business information analyst across multiple agile product teams, contributing to the organisation’s digital transformation. I was responsible for gathering and structuring requirements, writing and maintaining user stories, and supporting product teams throughout the design and development process.
My work focused on analysing business processes and information flows, identifying bottlenecks, and translating needs into functional and non-functional requirements. I collaborated closely with product owners, architects, developers and security experts to ensure solutions were not only scalable and future-proof, but also aligned with business priorities and compliance needs.
I facilitated stakeholder workshops, guided backlog refinements and co-authored design documentation, including input for solution and project-start architectures. Throughout, I ensured cyber security considerations were embedded in the requirements and solution design.
This role sharpened my ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, work across business and IT domains, and bring structure to content-heavy discussions, always with a focus on clarity, feasibility and end-user impact.

Technische Unie
Business Analyst
At Technische Unie, I played a leading role in the rollout of ServiceNow ITSM, as part of a broader global implementation driven by parent company Sonepar. The Netherlands was among the earlier countries in the group to begin the rollout, with strong focus on business-IT alignment and long-term adoption from the start.
In parallel, I supported the DevOps Manager in setting up a new DevOps team. I was involved in defining the team structure and helping shape delivery processes in a fast-changing environment. The role gave me valuable experience supporting organisational change and laying the groundwork for new ways of working.
Apr 2018 - Apr 2020
Technische Unie
System Engineer
As a System Engineer, I worked across a broad range of infrastructure and support responsibilities, combining hands-on technical work with process improvement and internal coordination. I managed and monitored critical systems, automated recurring tasks through scripting, and provided second- and third-line support for internal teams.
I also led and contributed to several IT projects, including system upgrades and release implementations. This involved working closely with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment around scope and delivery.
Alongside the technical responsibilities, I produced key documentation such as project plans, business cases, implementation plans and solution design documents. This role strengthened my ability to work across teams, communicate clearly and take ownership in structured delivery environments.

Fietsenwinkel.nl
System Administrator
At Fietsenwinkel.nl, I was responsible for maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure across both office and retail environments. This included everything from local workstations to network infrastructure across stores and international locations.
I played a key role in standardising and automating IT processes such as user provisioning, asset tracking and onboarding workflows. I worked closely with external IT and telecom partners to ensure seamless connectivity and support as the business scaled.
In addition to my operational responsibilities, I led a small team of support engineers, coordinating day-to-day priorities and guiding the team through rapid organisational changes. I also managed backup solutions, maintained key infrastructure documentation, and helped ensure IT operations remained stable and adaptable in a fast-moving, omnichannel retail environment.

Westwing
System Administrator
Westwing NL was in an early growth phase when I joined, and I was the only dedicated IT team member on-site in the Netherlands. I supported day-to-day operations, managed the local IT infrastructure, and handled a wide range of practical issues across the office.
I worked closely with the international IT team in Germany, helping translate local requests into technical input and coordinating with them on system developments. I also acted as a first point of contact for IT-related questions within the Dutch team.
It was a hands-on environment that gave me early experience with taking responsibility, supporting a growing business and working across teams in an international setting.
